Bayside Lemonade mission is to provide a convenient and refreshing beverage for customers at events around the globe. The mission of the franchise company is to provide the highest levels of initial training and on-going support to franchisees while offering guidance and innovation to the growing number of franchisees.

Bayside Lemonade intends to create a nationally branded franchise concept by establishing consistent methods of operation, protected intellectual property, a standardized tent, and policies and procedures that ensure high quality product and customer service, and a strong franchise support structure.

Beginning in New York, Bayside Lemonade will jumpstart expansion across the United States within targeted and defined regional markets.  In order to ensure the success of its franchisees, the franchise company intends to provide its franchisees with:

  • Initial hands-on training at its New York headquarters;
  • Local on-site training and support during each franchisee’s initial start-up; and
  • Ongoing training and support to ensure the quality of its franchise units.

The franchise will be priced competitively with the franchisee paying a flat royalty fee.  A completely defined franchise framework will guide and direct all aspects of franchisor/franchisee relationship with the roles and responsibilities of both the franchisee and Bayside Lemonade Franchising clearly outlined within the disclosure document (UFDD) and the franchise agreement (FA).

Regular supplier reporting will enable Bayside Lemonade to monitor the activity of each franchisee so that further mentoring and development of their local market can take place.

Concept

Bayside Lemonade is an innovative retail company that originally started by as a part time business for owner, Tom O’Neill.   The tent itself, is designed specifically to look like a giant lemon and is a great way of attracting at typical fairs and events. Made in the USA, using top quality stainless materials, the tent will cost a franchisee around $6,000 and will have replacement parts readily available.

06As the tent gained local popularity, Bayside Lemonade realized that the true business was in franchising, rather than selling the lemonade cup by cup. The business is well suited to operate as a part time business/investment as well as a full time operation in areas with warm climate.

Franchisees of Bayside Lemonade will operate out of one tent to begin operations, and will sign up for local fairs and events that usually occur annually or on some other regular basis. As the demand grows and a franchise would like to grow their business, additional tents are available for purchase via approved suppliers.

A franchisee will be required to have a vehicle, preferably a pickup truck or SUV with a V8 engine for towing the optional trailer.

A franchisee will be trained in all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, operations, food preparation, food safety, growth, networking, typical mannerisms, everything from handling a trailer and selling, to managing and working the events.

  • Operating prototype – currently, there are several strong operating locations currently operating in the New York region by the founders of Bayside Lemonade. The existing prototypes offer great streams of supplemental income and show extremely well in the market.
  • Profitable business – Bayside Lemonade has a strong potential ROI for a franchise owner. With reasonable overhead, a low start up cost for a business and applicability in just about any market, the concept is financially sound.  These numbers are extremely impressive in the franchise marketplace and will help make the Bayside Lemonade model much more marketable and sustainable. We of course will not be guaranteeing any success or levels of profitability, but with a large margin for error, a franchisee can be much less effective than we have projected and still have a successful business.
  • Operationally sound – The Bayside Lemonade model is operationally simple and runs smoothly with very few employees and a reasonable workload for an owner operator! The business is simple enough and each show has a very similar operational structure. This is a big benefit for franchising in that Bayside Lemonade franchise management does not need to be concerned with operational complexities and the length of time needed to train and get a franchisee to the point of operational independence.
  • Adaptable nationally – The Bayside Lemonade model is certainly adaptable nationally. During a 07fair or event, especially on a hot day, the revenue is generated by foot traffic and customers who see the tents and the lines they create. In warmer climates, the business will be sustainable year round and although it will still be a feasible concept, the northern climates will be much more seasonal (similar to the company owned prototypes).

The concept is differentiated by providing an all-inclusive business model and on-going support. Bayside Lemonade utilizes a strong supplier to provide the lemonade to each of its franchisees and will continue to develop vendor relationships.
