While at Edelman Digital, a division of the world's largest privately owned public relations agency, Michael contributed to the execution of internet marketing strategies for clients such as Barilla America, Wrigley, Heinz and Starbucks. He has coordinated the design and coding of various web projects, helped execute innovative digital community brand awareness programs, and increased client search visibility. Michael led Edelman’s search engine marketing thought leadership team.
Prior to joining Edelman, Michael was the Marketing Communications Manager for a boutique franchise consulting company’s internet marketing division. In this capacity he was responsible for identifying, analyzing and evaluating the electronic marketing needs of his clients. His creative counsel included recommending appropriate technology and Internet strategies to address those needs, much of which focused on online lead generation.
Michael has led internet marketing seminars, educating business owners, marketing and technology staff on a wide variety of topics including search engine optimization, paid search, domain name strategies, and web design best practices.
Michael Carr graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and pursued International Studies at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. He sits on the board of a national non-profit political organization. In addition to his work with FMS he is the President of Aspirant Marketing, an internet marketing consultancy working with client on SEO, paid search advertising, web analytics email marketing and social media engagement.
